Deanna, Jo, and Chelsea are all active, upbeat and positive individuals with a shared passion for the health and well-being of each of the dogs in their care.

Jo Crocker

Owner

I took over Home for Hounds in 2019 after working in pet care for many years previously.

I have always owned dogs and am the proud mum to three very noisy cavaliers.

There’s nothing nicer that watching the dogs run and play, and couldn’t imagine a life without a dog by my side.

I love the walks around Fernworthy and Bellever Tor.

My favourite dog breeds are Cavaliers, Labs and Boxers.

Deanna Crocker

Deanna has been running the daycare since we took over in November 2019. She adores the dogs and enjoys thinking of new ways to play and interact with them.

She has three dogs of her own, and is currently undergoing a course with the CIDBT in dog training to further her knowledge.

Chelsea Gidley

Puppy Lady

Chelsea has worked with us at Exeter Dog Walkers since summer 2019. She primarily does the puppies, on both the H4H side, and our dog walkers side, so she’s very used to bouncy, bitey little ones!

She previously worked at boarding kennels so has been working around dogs for a long time. She has one little pug herself.

I’ve been working at Home for Hounds since early 2022 after moving from the midlands to my dream location by the sea in Torbay!

Sadly I don’t have my own dog, so this job is perfect for me where I can spend all my time with doggies and learning all about them.

I mostly walk the older dogs but love them all.

My favourite walk is Fernworthy.

I have a soft spot for GSPs and Daschunds.

I very much enjoy spending time walking with my Cockapoo Cooper. And finding new places to explore.

I’ve had lots of experience with all kinds of breeds running my own dog care business a few years ago.

My favourite breed is the Australian Shepherd.
